Trendsetting on the dating scene
Lorraine Adams, the dating expert who originally launched the concept of Speed Dating in 2000, has declared that the mood is now for Slow, not Speed, Dating; and that you should date someone four times before making your mind up on your romantic compatibility. Lorraine is running some romance workshops at the Brunswick in February and is so convinced of her Slow Dating theory that she has set a slow dating challenge to London singletons. Further details are on www.brunswick.co.uk/slowdating.

The Language of Love
‘Hundreds’ of people elected to send Valentine’s text messages to their loved
ones this year via the Four Seasons shopping centre’s website. The emotional
bond between centre and community is maybe even stronger than we had hoped!
One
marriage proposal unfortunately came to nothing, but otherwise feedback has been
positive all round. In fact, so popular has the promotion been that the centre
is now arranging for a video service to be set up in centre whereby shoppers can
record a personalised video message in time for Mother’s Day.
