The Ferret on: The fun of the Fair! |

Yes, the market’s a little tricky. Yes, stress levels can be high. But it’s seldom dull, and, as I mused when strapped into the plastic seat of a local fairground ride the other day, it’s generally better to be driving your own helter skelter than relying on a pimply part-timer who happens to be operating the Waltzer at that moment in time!
This last month we (as in Toolbox Marketing) have escorted a client up to the podium to collect their first Purple Apple Merit, we’ve dashed over to the Ukraine to recce a shopping centre that’s just come onto our portfolio, we’ve delivered a client’s new product to appointments with the London Mayor, Secretary of State for the DECC and The Times (amongst others), and we’ve spent hours plotting just how many entertainments we can legitimately book in for our office summer party this year.
Running your own business definitely has its up-sides.
So, the ferret’s latest pronouncement? “Drive that roller-coaster! And if that’s just not going to happen, try and enjoy business – generally, it then starts to enjoy you .”
